10. Opening blocks/Appointments

Standard blocks/appointments:

30 minutes blocks, which when opened are available for members to book.

Blocks must be opened by admin in order for members to be able to book appointments, to do so:

  1.  Navigate to "Appointments"
  2. Click the correct day of the month.
  3. Click the correct time in staff members column.
  4. A single regular block will open.
Note that although you have allocated the open block to that member of staff, your members will not know who they are booking.

Extended blocks/appointments:

"Pay as you go" blocks which are longer in length than standard blocks. These are charged to your members in addition to the monthly subscription (price set in settings) and can be set to any length of time (15 min increments) in settings - use these for premium service upgrades in your membership.

To open an extended block, follow the steps above for Standard Blocks then:

  1.  Click open block.
  2. Click "Make it an extended block"
Note extra charge for extended block is charged at the time and date of appointment.

Double appointments:

Intended to allow members to bring a friend to one appointment every month.

The system restricts this to be bookable only when an open block is available within 15 minutes of the start or end of another open block.

For example if a block is currently open at 11am, in order to make a double booking available; another block should be opened:

After the current block at 11.15 or 11.30
OR
Before the current block at 10.30 or 10.45
OR
As above or at the same with a different team member.
